  • Escort patients promptly to exam rooms and obtain necessary information for physician.

  • Patient history, pulmonary function tests, medications, allergy testing, and allergy injections.

  • Order blood work and imaging as directed by the physician. Provide telephone results to patients.

  • Assist physician with procedures. Perform duties on diagnostic equipment such as Spirometry.

  • Provide patient education and instructions on medications, inhalers, and peak flow meters.

  • Perform phone triage.

  • Maintain high standards of technique per clinic protocol in performing all MA and laboratory functions.

PATIENT SERVICES SPECIALIST

  • Front desk receptionist and scheduling.

  • Welcome and greet all patients and visitors. Register new patients and update existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including insurance information. Collect monies due (co-pays, deposits etc.) from patient at time of check-in.

  • Answer the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using professional telephone etiquette.

  • Review charts and follow-up on referral verification as necessary with the Managed Care department.

  • Serves as a liaison between patients and physicians both by telephone and in person.

  • Schedule appointments in Electronic Practice Management system.

  • Reconcile daily monies and close daily batch according to protocol.

  • Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders and monitoring office equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
